The Bryant Parkview Care Center, Inc., with the City of Bryant and community members’ support, successfully completed construction of a new community center and addition to the Bryant auditorium in 2020. With that project completed, the Board decided to look at whether it could assist with further improvements for the Bryant community. The Board’s attention turned to the Bryant Park, a logical focus given the growth of families in the community, the age and condition of the current Park facilities, the health benefits for all community members, and the ability to attract people and business to Bryant with an improved Park. The Board formed a committee to work on a Bryant Park improvement project. The committee conducted a public survey to obtain feedback from the community regarding park use and needed improvements. The survey results indicated the top three most needed park services were playground equipment, a walking path, and a covered group picnic shelter. The Committee prepared a phased plan for the improvements, with the first phase of the plan to create a new playground area with all new playground equipment- which was completed Fall of 2024. Phase Two of the park project involves construction of new picnic and shade shelters, including a covered picnic pavilion and shaded seating pods near the new playground equipment. The shade pods were completed in September, 2025. Construction of the picnic pavilion has begun, with completion expected by May 31, 2026. A Memorial Garden on Main Street of Bryant is currently being designed. The Committee is surveying the community to determine the next priorities and future projects.
